POST-SURGICAL REHAB

Criteria-based return-to-sport progressions for athletes recovering from Tommy John, ACL, rotator cuff, and other orthopedic surgeries. We use objective data to clear you, not just a calendar.

Post-surgical rehab for athletes is a criteria-based rehabilitation program designed to restore full athletic function after orthopedic surgery. For baseball players, this most commonly includes Tommy John (UCL reconstruction), rotator cuff repair, labrum repair (SLAP), and ACL reconstruction. Unlike time-based protocols that advance by weeks alone, criteria-based rehab uses objective strength measurements, range of motion data, and functional testing to determine when an athlete is ready to progress to the next phase.

WHAT WE TREAT

SURGERIES WE SPECIALIZE IN

We work with athletes recovering from a wide range of orthopedic procedures across all sports.

Tommy John Surgery (UCL Reconstruction)

The gold standard for elbow UCL tears in throwing athletes. We follow criteria-based progressions and use objective strength testing to clear you for a return-to-throw program.

ACL Reconstruction

Whether it's a BPTB, hamstring, or quad graft, we use VALD force plate testing to measure limb symmetry and ensure you meet objective benchmarks before returning to sport.

Rotator Cuff Repair

Partial and full-thickness rotator cuff repairs require precise loading progressions. We protect the repair while building the strength and endurance needed to throw again.

SLAP Labrum Repair

Labral repairs in overhead athletes require a careful, progressive return-to-throw program. We coordinate with your surgeon's protocol and use objective testing throughout.

Hip Arthroscopy

FAI correction and labral repairs in the hip affect your rotation, stride, and power generation. We address the full kinetic chain, not just the surgical site.

Meniscus Repair

Meniscus repairs require careful weight-bearing progressions. We use force plate testing to ensure load symmetry before returning to cutting and sprinting.

OUR APPROACH

CRITERIA-BASED, NOT CALENDAR-BASED

Most post-surgical protocols are time-based. Six months post-op, you're cleared. But time alone doesn't tell you if your body is actually ready. We use objective testing to make that call.

01

Objective Strength Testing

VALD dynamometer testing measures your limb symmetry index (LSI). We don't clear you until you hit the benchmarks your sport demands.

02

Force Plate Analysis

Jump and landing mechanics are tested on force plates to ensure your neuromuscular control is ready for the demands of your sport before you return.

03

Sport-Specific Progression

Your final phase of rehab mirrors the demands of your sport. Baseball players go through a structured return-to-throw program. Field sport athletes go through a return-to-run and cutting progression.
